Course Contents Basic analytical chemistry definitions/ ionisation/ solubility /Factors that affect solubility/ Salt effect./Effect of formation of complex / Effect of acidity / Effect of hydrolisis/ Precipitation of cations as sulphides/ Coordination compounds/ Factors that affect stability / Acids and Basis / pH Calculations of buffer solutions/ Statistical calculations of analytical data.
Course Objectives The course is provide a complete substructure for analytical chemistry lessons and laboratories and other chemistry lessons. It is to guide to solution of an analytical problem.
Course Outcomes
(The knowledge and the skills that the student will gain at the end of the course)
  1. A major goal is to provide the students with a sound theoretical background in those chemical principles that are especially pertinent to chemical analysis.
  2. The course is to develop in the student an appreciation for the importance of the often-difficult task of judging the accuracy and precision of experimental data and to provide the tools for r sharpening these judgments.
  3. The course is to provide the students the experimental techniques of quantitative analysis.
